Job summary

Focus Financial Partners seeks an Associate for its core strategy team guiding corporate development and M&A activities. You will participate from proposal to close, performing financial analysis, structuring deal terms, and coordinating with senior team members to drive deals to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a top university or college.
• 2-3 years of full-time work experience in investment banking, private equity or strategic consulting.
• Competency in financial statement analysis and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Intellectual curiosity and confidence to take initiative.
• Ability to present and discuss analysis/findings to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Participate in every step of the M&A deal process from proposal to close.
• Review CIMs and coordinate NDAs / meetings with investment bankers.
• Conduct financial due diligence and P&L scoping for prospective deals.
• Structure and model deal terms.
• Prepare and present IC memorandums to the committee.
• Prepare and present term sheets.
• Coordinate across Focus’ Corporate and business line teams.
• Assist senior team members and gain cross-functional exposure to legal and finance.
