An established and growing corporate practice is seeking a talented Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated transactions while developing strong client relationships and gaining exposure to a broad range of strategic corporate matters.

The successful candidate will advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and general corporate transactions. Working alongside experienced dealmakers, you will play a key role in managing complex transactions from inception through closing while providing practical, business-focused legal advice.

This position offers a collaborative environment where associates are given meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and significant opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic corporate transactions.
• Represent private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and corporate clients in a variety of transactional matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, investment documents, governance materials, and related transaction documents.
• Conduct and manage due diligence processes.
• Coordinate transaction teams and support deal execution through closing.

Qualifications

• JD required.
• Previous experience working in a law firm is required.
• 4–5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience gained at an Am Law 100 firm or a comparable sophisticated corporate practice is highly desirable.
