Job summary

Vedder Price P.C. is seeking Finance associates to join the Finance & Transactions group in Chicago or Los Angeles. The role offers collaboration with shareholders, involvement in business development and client-facing activities, and a strong focus on growth within a cohesive team.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of transactional/M&A experience at a law firm, with private equity/sponsor clients on acquisitions, dispositions and growth equity, and holds a J.D. with strong academics.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of transactional/M&A experience at a law firm, primarily focused on private company M&A.
• Experience with private equity/sponsor clients on acquisitions, dispositions and growth equity.
• J.D. degree and strong academic credentials; admitted in Illinois, Florida, or California (or pursuing admission).

Responsibilities

• Lead initial stages of deals, such as negotiating a term sheet and drafting the first draft of a purchase/merger agreement.
• Manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Collaborate with shareholders and engage in client-facing activities as part of the Finance & Transactions team.
