Job summary

Prosperity Partners, a Chicago-headquartered professional services firm, seeks an energetic M&A professional to support its acquisition strategy and growth initiatives. You will engage in sourcing, financial modeling, diligence, and execution, collaborating with leadership and external advisers.

A background in PE-backed M&A and excellent communication are valued as you help shape firm strategy. You will work closely with owners and leaders to assess fit and drive multiple workstreams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and due diligence analyses.
• Eagerness and desire for continuous learning and improvement.
• Flexibility and adaptability in driving M&A processes forward independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, able to handle multiple workstreams and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent social, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Track-record of quality work and meeting deadlines.
• Attention to detail while understanding big picture goals.

Responsibilities

• Support through all stages of the acquisition process, including sourcing, evaluating targets, financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction execution.
• Build relationships with leadership at targets, brokers, banks, and diligence providers.
• Work with business owners to assess cultural and strategic fit; own diligence components.
• Prepare acquisition proposals, IOIs and LOIs; maintain data rooms for live deals.
• Assist in transaction execution including purchase agreement review and debt financing coordination.
• Develop materials for Prosperity leadership and board of directors; contribute to firm operations and culture.
