Job summary

Prosperity Partners, a Chicago-headquartered professional services firm, seeks an energetic M&A professional to support acquisition strategy across a national footprint. You will work with leadership to evaluate targets, build financial models, and manage diligence workstreams with a lean team.

The role offers exposure to PE-backed transactions, cross-functional collaboration, and direct impact on growth. Candidates should have 2–6 years in related fields and be ready to work in our Chicago

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• 2–6 years experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
• Understanding of financial statements and due diligence analyses.
• Eagerness for continuous learning and improvement.
• Availability to work in Chicago office at least 3 days per week.
• Preferred: experience with PE-backed platform acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Support acquisition process through sourcing, evaluating targets, financial modeling, and diligence workstreams.
• Build relationships with leadership at targets, brokers, banks and diligence providers.
• Assess cultural and strategic fit with business owners and leaders.
• Own key diligence aspects, including internal and third-party diligence and data rooms.
• Prepare IOIs and LOIs and maintain diligence requests.
• Assist transaction execution including debt financing and advisor coordination.
• Develop materials for Prosperity executives and board of directors.
• Contribute to improving firm operations, culture, and values.
