The M&A Associate role in Boston targets lawyers with 3–7 years of M&A experience to manage sophisticated matters, work directly with clients, and drive deal processes in a leading law firm. Collaboration with partners and teams is central as you grow into greater responsibility.

Candidates should have a J.D. from a recognized law school, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a track record of supervising junior associates while delivering results under deadlines.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a nationally recognized law school.
• 3–7 years of M&A experience.
• Strong mergers and acquisitions experience, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
• Experience managing deal processes and client relationships.
• Experience supervising junior associates is preferred.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent organizational, communication, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate definitive and ancillary M&A transaction documents.
• Manage deal processes and day-to-day workflow for a variety of M&A matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Handle sophisticated M&A matters for clients with complex legal and business needs.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients throughout all stages of transactions.
• Manage multiple concurrent matters while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
