Job summary

Lateral Link in Miami is hiring a cross-border M&A associate (3–7 years) with fluency in Spanish. You will work directly with partners and clients on structuring, drafting, negotiating, and closing deals spanning the US, Latin America, and other international markets.

The work includes domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions for public and private companies, private equity sponsors, family offices, and strategic investors; joint ventures; purchase and governance agreements; and

• 3–7 years of M&A, private equity, or complex corporate transactional experience at a firm.
• Fluency in Spanish.

Miami has become the deal desk for Latin America — the sponsors and family offices that used to route their transactions through New York now sign them here, and a Spanish-speaking M&A associate who can run a cross-border deal is the scarcest profile in the market.

An AmLaw 50 firm with one of the largest Latin America practices in the US is hiring a cross-border M&A associate (3–7 years) in Miami. Cravath scale — $260K–$420K depending on class year.

You'd work directly with partners and clients on every phase of the deal — structuring, drafting, negotiating, and closing — on transactions that run between the US, Latin America, and other international markets, with local counsel and cross-practice teams to coordinate and sophisticated counterparties on the other side.

The work includes:

• Domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions for public and private companies, private equity sponsors, family offices, and strategic investors
• Joint ventures, minority investments, and strategic partnerships across the US and Latin America
• Purchase agreements, investment agreements, JV agreements, and governance documents
• Corporate governance, entity structuring, ownership and control, and post-closing integration in multi-jurisdiction contexts

What you bring:

• 3–7 years of M&A, private equity, or complex corporate transactional experience at a firm
• Reps drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and running diligence
• Fluency in Spanish
