Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a M&A and Investments Intern for Summer 2027 in Cincinnati, OH. This part-time internship supports our Targeted Acquisitions & Strategic Investments team with market research, financial analysis, and due diligence activities.

You will build financial models, contribute to investment memos, and help prepare presentations while gaining exposure to strategy development and portfolio monitoring within a leading insurance group.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business or a related degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and in an unstructured environment
• Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential M&A targets and investment opportunities
• Performing financial analysis and valuation of potential M&A targets and investments
• Assisting in the preparation of investment memos and presentations
• Supporting due diligence processes by gathering and analyzing relevant data and information
• Building and maintaining financial models to evaluate the impact of potential transactions
• Collaborating with team members to develop strategic recommendations for M&A and investment activities
• Monitoring and reporting on the performance of acquired companies and investments
• Updating the CRM system with relevant interactions, notes, and insights from the M&A and investment activities
• Other duties as assigned
