Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a contract-based research analyst to support data-driven M&A initiatives. You will conduct company and industry research and perform buyer or target screening and financial modeling.

You will build and troubleshoot Excel-based valuation models, prepare client materials, and review materials for numerical accuracy, delivering clear and precise findings to the deal team. This remote role requires 10-40 hours per week with compensation of $175–$300 per hour.

Qualifications

• Have strong experience in M&A or industry-coverage teams at leading investment banks.
• Substantial hands-on exposure to live acquisition or sale processes with high-quality analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to produce and review analytical and presentation materials.
• Mastery in Excel modeling, including troubleshooting and scenario analysis.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
