Job summary

CBRE is seeking an M&A Accounting Integration Manager to execute detailed controllership workstreams from diligence through Day 1 readiness, purchase accounting, and post‑close stabilization. You will partner with the M&A Controller Resident to translate integration strategy into hands‑on execution and ensure audit‑ready documentation.

The role requires 5–8 years of accounting experience with M&A exposure, a CPA, and strong knowledge of ASC 805, US GAAP and SOX within the US market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CPA certification or actively pursuing is required.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, with exposure to M&A transactions or integration.
• Knowledge of ASC 805, US GAAP, and SOX.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communicator; able to coordinate across teams.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in review of Financial Due Diligence (FDD) reports and flag accounting risks for Controller Resident review.
• Compile and organize target accounting policy documentation; map gaps to CBRE standards.
• Support preparation of accounting risk summaries and deal team communications.
• Coordinate diligence data room access and track open accounting items through close.
• Support working capital analysis, data gathering, schedule prep, and variance analysis.
• Review and validate closing statements; ensure accruals at close are complete.
• Maintain detailed working capital workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Track earnout and escrow schedules with balances and key dates.
• Execute chart of accounts mapping and trial balance conversion under Controller Resident.
• Support establishment of intercompany structure and elimination entries.
• Coordinate with acquired accounting teams on close calendar and process acceleration.
• Maintain Day 1 readiness checklist and flag open items and risks.
• Assist payroll accounting continuity and cash/banking visibility with Payroll/HR/Treasury.
• Maintain controllership integration project plan; track milestones, owners, and status.
• Document accounting policy harmonization decisions and open items.
• Support ERP and systems migration from accounting perspective.
• Coordinate with acquired accounting teams and CBRE controllership on day‑to‑day tasks.
• Prepare schedules and workpapers for purchase accounting under ASC 805.
• Assist in Day 1 opening balance sheet preparation and validation.
• Maintain documentation for measurement period adjustments and post‑close matters.
• Support financial statement footnote disclosures related to acquisitions.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation across purchase accounting workstreams.
• Support SOX integration activities and coordination with local accounting teams.
