Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network seeks an Occupational Therapist with lymphedema experience for the West Hartford outpatient clinic. The CLT-LANA certified role collaborates with physicians and therapists within our integrated system to treat lymphedema patients.

Responsibilities include manual lymph drainage, multi-layer bandaging, compression garment selection, and home program training. CT OT licensure is required; LANA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of OT program from an accredited AOTA school with a BS or entry‑level master's.
• Current CT Occupational Therapist License required.
• Complete lymphedema certification program with at least 135 hours.
• LANA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with lymphedema and create a Plan of Care.
• Demonstrate competence in manual lymph drainage and bandaging.
• Provide training for home program including MLD, bandaging, compression garments, and skin care.
• Develop safe exercise plans for patients with lymphedema, with functional modifications.

Position Description

Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is looking for an Occupational Therapist with lymphedema experience. We are seeking a CLT-LANA certified specialist at our Blue Back Square outpatient clinic located in West Hartford. HHRN is part of an integrated healthcare system and there is opportunity to interact and collaborate with physicians, mid-level practitioners and other therapists treating our lymphedema patient population.

Lymphedema Specific Responsibilities Include

• Evaluate patient with lymphedema and create Plan of Care
• Demonstrate competence in manual lymph drainage, multi-layer bandaging, compression garment selection and application
• Provide patient and/or caregiver training for home program including MLD, bandaging as needed, application of compression garments, and skin care
• Provide appropriate and safe exercise plan for patient with lymphedema, with modifications to functional ability

Qualifications

• Graduate of Occupational Therapy Program from an accredited American Occupational Therapy Association school, BS degree or entry level master's degree.
• Current CT Occupational Therapist License required.
• Completion of a lymphedema certification program with a minimum of 135 hours of lymphedema specialized training with one instructor required.
• LANA certification preferred.
