Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide lymphedema care at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. You will assess, plan, implement, and document treatment, including manual lymph drainage and compression therapies, while educating patients to promote independence and self-management.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in North Carolina.
• Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or equivalent.
• LANA certification or eligibility to obtain LANA certification.
• 3 years of outpatient oncology-related lymphedema experience.
• Experience coordinating with multiple external vendors for garments and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat lymphedema patients with individualized plans.
• Perform manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, and decongestive exercises.
• Educate patients on self-management, skin care, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, OT colleagues, and other providers.
• Maintain accurate records meeting regulatory standards (e.g., JCAHO).
• Oversee lymphedema equipment and supplies; supervise support staff as needed.
• Develop goals and plans aligned with OT practice standards.
