Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate scanner(s) and capture diagnostic images under radiologist supervision. This is a full-time position with a 10:00am–6:30pm shift.

The role requires AMA‑approved radiography training, state licensure if applicable, CPR certification, and the ability to perform procedures independently. Responsibilities include patient screening and positioning, maintaining RIS records, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and supporting

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Ability to perform radiologic procedures independently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned scanner to produce diagnostic images.
  • Screen patients and verify identifiers before exams.
  • Explain procedures and position patients properly.
  • Perform routine and advanced imaging with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Keep equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Assist with imaging protocol manuals and inventory as needed.

Job description

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.

This is a Full‑Time position working from 10:00am‑6:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(90%) Patient Radiologic Imaging
  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  2. Explains and prepares patients for Radiologic imaging procedures, positioning patients appropriately.
  3. Performs routine and advanced Radiologic imaging procedures on designated portions of the body with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
  4. Adjusts Radiologic scan parameters correctly, utilizing dose reduction techniques as needed.
  5. Maintains a positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring customers and peers.
  6. Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers.
  7. Accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  8. Maintains an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
  9. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  10. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use.
  11. Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
  12. Works with a Fluoroscopy C‑Arm in surgical and outpatient procedures.
(5%) Radiologic Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
  3. Assists with training new team members as applicable.
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School diploma, or equivalent.
  2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  3. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  4. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  5. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform Radiologic procedures independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bilingual.
