Job summary

HJ Staffing is seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN/LPNs) for a 6-month assignment at a Living Center in Brenham, Texas. Immediate openings for dependable nurses who are comfortable working with individuals with IDD, behavioral health/psychiatric needs, and dual diagnoses.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, with availability for 3 weekends per month. Shifts include 5:45 AM–2:15 PM, 1:45 PM–10:15 PM, and 9:45 PM–6:15 AM, with a 30-minute break.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered LVN/LPN nursing license.
• Experience with IDD and psychiatric/behavioral health populations.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong attendance, reliability and adaptability.
• Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to begin immediately upon clearance.

Job description

HJ Staffing is seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN/LPNs) for a 6-month assignment at a Living Center in Brenham, Texas. Immediate openings for dependable, experienced nurses who are comfortable working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD), behavioral health/psychiatric needs, and dual diagnoses.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, with availability required for 3 weekends per month.

Available shifts include 5:45 AM–2:15 PM (3 openings), 1:45 PM–10:15 PM (3 openings), and 9:45 PM–6:15 AM (4 openings). Nurses receive a 30-minute break during each shift.

Selected nurses must attend approximately two weeks of mandatory New Employee Orientation and Nursing Education, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Attendance and punctuality throughout training are required.

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered LVN/LPN nursing license
• Previous experience working with IDD, psychiatric/behavioral health, and dual-diagnosis populations
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong attendance, reliability and adaptability
• Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to complete credentialing and be ready to begin immediately upon clearance
