Job summary

We are seeking compassionate and dependable LVN/LPNs to provide direct nursing care to residents at a healthcare center in Brenham, TX. The LVN/LPN will support individuals with IDD, psychiatric needs, and dual-diagnosis conditions, ensuring residents receive safe, quality, and person-centered care.

This temporary role offers a pay rate of $28-$31 per hour, with openings for five nurses and an ASAP start (as early as Sept 22, 2026).

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered LVN/LPN nursing license in Texas.
Experience with IDD, psychiatric, or dual-diagnosis populations.
Pass background check and drug screening.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adapt quickly to changes and learn new procedures.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient-centered resident care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents per care plans and nursing standards.
Monitor health conditions and report changes to healthcare professionals.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and resident records.
Assess residents' health needs and respond to changes in condition.
Support individuals with IDD, psychiatric conditions, and dual-diagnosis needs respectfully.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team.
Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and nursing regulations.
Work independently while collaborating with nurses and direct-care staff.
Adapt to changing resident needs and workplace situations.
