Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to assigned patients.
• Participates in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Performs admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Follows the nursing plan of care and, under supervision, modifies it as needed.
• Observes and records patient status and proposes revisions to interventions.
• Delivers nursing interventions per the medical plan of care.
• Notifies staff of changes in patient status and adheres to priorities.
• Follows physician orders and maintains patient privacy.
• Administers medications and treatments safely and properly.
• Assembles equipment for procedures and assists others.
• Adheres to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Documents nursing care in patient records.
• Performs related duties as required.
