Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System, Fort Worth Urgent Care Center, seeks an LVN to collaborate in a fast-paced pediatric UCC. You will deliver ambulatory nursing care under physician/APP direction, focusing on assessment, intervention and education for pediatric patients.

The role emphasizes teamwork, daily clinical duties, and adherence to policy. Licensure in Texas and CPR are required, ALS within 1 year of hire.

Summary:

Functions in collaborative practice with physician(s) and advanced practice provider(s)(APP) in the Urgent Care Center (UCC) setting. Provides ambulatory nursing care as directed by physician(s) and advanced practice provider(s), including patient focused assessment, intervention, and education. Skillfully and consistently performs daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in a clinic or office setting preferred.
• 1-year pediatric experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

• Current license to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas.
• Current CPR certification. P
• ALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
