PIH Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the Transitional Care Unit in a full-time role from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The LVN provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and handles treatments, procedures and clerical duties within the LVN scope of practice. PIH Health is a nonprofit regional healthcare network serving millions in the Los Angeles area, including Downey, Good Samaritan, and Whittier hospitals.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational skills.

• Demonstrated team member abilities.
• Clinical education related to specialty.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Principles of patient/family teaching.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Provides treatments, procedures and clerical duties as defined and within the legal boundaries of the Licensed Vocational Nurse Scope of Practice and accepts responsibility for individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.
