Cook Children's in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to deliver competent care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following the plan of care and treatment. The role emphasizes team collaboration, patient-family relations, and evidence-based practice.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a 40-hour work week in the Genetics department of the Medical Office Building-Fort Worth. Requires TX LVN license, current BLS, and a valid driver's license.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or met the educational requirements to test for licensure.
• Current permit or license to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas
• Current BLS
• Valid Driver's License required

Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse will deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families according to their identified needs. This care is delivered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and is guided by the established plan of care, and the medical plan of treatment. The Licensed Vocational Nurse will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations; sound clinical judgement and appropriate decision‑making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or met the educational requirements to test for licensure
