Job Overview

Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) performs various patient care activities to support the unit. Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, preparing lab tests, and patient education. The role requires initiative, the ability to prioritize, and teamwork skills.

Minimum Qualifications
  • California-issued LVN license
  • BART or BLS certification at hire; commitment to obtain BART within six months
  • At least two years of LVN experience
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and proper body mechanics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in inpatient acute care
  • Surgical patient experience
  • IV therapy and blood withdrawal certification
Special Conditions
  • Ability to work various hours and locations as needed
  • Pre-employment background check and physical required
Pay Transparency

Annual full pay range: $71,410 - $88,782 (pro-rated for less than 100% appointment)

Hourly range: $34.20 - $42.52

Compensation is based on experience, skills, and organizational needs. The posted pay scale reflects the budgeted range, which may vary due to internal factors.
