Job summary

South Plains Rural Health Services in Big Spring, TX is seeking a compassionate LVN or RN to join our outpatient clinic team, delivering patient-centered care in partnership with providers and staff.

This role emphasizes nursing assessments, medication administration, patient education, documentation in the electronic health record, and care coordination across the healthcare team. A Texas license and CPR/BLS are required. Sign-on bonuses are available after six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas LVN or RN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Outpatient, primary care, or clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinic.
• Electronic health record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect clinical information.
• Administer medications, injections, and treatments as ordered.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
• Review and respond to patient needs and clinical communications.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate care with providers and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow infection control, medication safety, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Perform additional nursing responsibilities within the scope of LVN or RN licensure.
