Job summary

Scripps Health in the San Diego area is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for a full-time, 80-hour biweekly position with a Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule.

The LVN will float across La Jolla, Carmel Valley, and Torrey Pines clinics, delivering patient care with a focus on safety and quality within scope of practice. Requirements include a California LVN license and BLS, with excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families and document patient interactions.
• Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.
