Job summary

Maxim Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse to provide in-home nursing care to Pediatric and/or Adult patients in the United States. The role offers flexible scheduling (PT/FT) and competitive weekly pay.

The incumbent will administer medications, implement and adjust plans of care, and collaborate with physicians to ensure quality patient outcomes. Requirements include an active RN license in the practicing state, a health certificate, a current PPD or Chest X-Ray, and a current BLS card.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• Current Health Certificate.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in clients' homes.
• Initiates the plan of care as directed and revises as patient status changes.
• Implements therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes for changes in patient condition and communicates with physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates teaching and discharge planning as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
