Job summary

Vitalant in Santa Barbara, CA, seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a Blood Withdrawal Certificate to join our mobile collections and therapeutic services team. This role blends therapeutic services two days per week with support for mobile blood collection on the remaining days, offering variety and meaningful donor care.

You’ll perform blood collections and therapeutic procedures under supervision, travel to community drives, maintain records, and ensure safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in California with Blood Withdrawal Certificate.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months healthcare-related experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to document patient and donor information accurately.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts and travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood and blood product collections per protocol.
• Support therapeutic procedures at Santa Barbara location.
• Travel with mobile collection team to community blood drives.
• Provide excellent donor and patient service and comfort.
• Maintain accurate records and daily quality checks.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory requirements; ensure safety.
