Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join a family-friendly clinic. The LVN will assist in examinations, provide nursing support under physician direction, and ensure smooth patient flow and regulatory compliance across sites.

Prior experience in ambulatory care is preferred. Responsibilities include supporting the Health Center Manager, training staff, handling inventory and supplies, and maintaining high patient service standards.

Qualifications

• Completed LVN training program from an accredited school.
• Valid LVN License.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Lifesaving Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare, ambulatory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Health Center Manager and clinic staff to support clinical operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and quality improvement goals.
• Promote efficiency by examining and improving clinic processes.
• Train staff on clinical workflows, procedures, and forms.
• Maintain supplies, vaccines, equipment, and medications.
• Travel to other UHC clinics as needed.
• Provide patient care tasks per physician orders.
