Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corporation is seeking an LVN for a float position in Los Angeles, CA. The LVN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, performing vital signs, data gathering, medication administration, and treatments.

Successful candidates will have a California LVN license and at least 1 year of LVN experience; BLS certification is preferred. Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese are highly valued in serving our diverse community.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LVN program.
• Current LVN license issued by the State of California (Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians).
• Minimum 1 year of LVN experience preferred.
• Experience with frail or elderly populations preferred.
• BLS certification or higher preferred (AHA/Red Cross).
• Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.

Job Overview

The LVN provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. The LVN tasks include, but are not limited to, vital signs, data gathering, medication administration, and rendering patient care/treatments.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited LVN school.
• Current LVN license issued by the State of California, Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as an LVN is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.
• Experience and knowledge regarding the physical, mental, and social needs of geriatric patients are preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
• Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese highly preferred.

LVN FLOAT POSITION

Current and valid driver's license and active insurance verification.

Compensation

Pay for this job starts at $31.93 hourly.
