LVN - Outpatient - Level II - Corona MOB - Pediatrics - Regular Clinic - On Call

Job Summary:

Provides nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician/advanced practice provider. Uses observational skills to monitor patient responses and assists medical staff to ensure optimal care within established policies, procedures, and standards. Demonstrates performance aligned with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan. Maintains quality in work habits and clinical practice, treating coworkers, patients, families, and all healthcare team members with dignity and respect.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers, showing courtesy, compassion, and respect.
  • Provides therapeutic patient care within the scope of practice, following physician/advanced practice provider orders.
  • Transcribes orders accurately and communicates with registered nurses to modify care plans as needed.
  • Administers specified medications and executes treatments such as catheterizations, IV placements, suctioning, and wound care, adhering to infection control policies.
  • Monitors and documents patient conditions, reports significant findings, and initiates emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Assists with examinations and treatments, supports patient comfort and safety, and manages specimens and cultures properly.
  • Supports patient education following care plans and discharges planning, reporting learning needs and barriers.
  • Ensures cleanliness and safety of the nursing station, patient rooms, and equipment.
  • Participates in departmental workflows, staff meetings, and training programs.
  • Supports supply management and processes orders as needed.
  • Supports communication with patients via emails and calls, and documents all care in the appropriate health record system.
  • Performs additional duties such as orientation of new staff, discharge coordination, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Acts within license and scope of practice, promoting customer service and compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 12 months LVN experience in direct patient care within the last three years.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Vocational Nurse License (California).
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Additional Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills and dedication to high-quality service.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IV Certification and Blood Withdrawal Certification preferred.

Notes:

Schedule may include floating within seniority sections, rotating weekends and holidays as needed.

We are a motivated team of talented self-starters committed to excellence. The starting hourly wage is $25.51, with a range up to $31.74. For some positions, the starting wage may be $34.25, with a full range up to $46.90, depending on internal equity and experience.
