Job summary

Medical City Lewisville is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to deliver safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will administer medications, monitor patients, and collaborate with RNs, physicians, and specialists to support transitions from intensive care toward recovery.

This role emphasizes compassionate patient interactions, accurate documentation, and quick escalation of changes in patient status.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) certification/title.
• Vocational School Graduate credentials.
• No Travel Required.
• 1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Providing focused nursing care for patients with complex needs by administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with interventions like cardiac monitoring or respiratory support.
• Closely observing patients for changes in status and escalating concerns quickly.
• Documenting timely, accurate updates to help coordinate care in a high-acuity environment.
• Helping patients and families understand conditions and recovery steps clearly.
• Collaborating with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide them through transitions from ICU toward recovery.

• Working closely with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide them through the transition from intensive care toward recovery
