Job summary

MemorialCare Health System is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for the OPSC Multispecialty Off-site clinics in Fountain Valley, CA. This full-time, dayshift LVN role offers a competitive pay range and a $5,000 sign-on bonus (taxable).

The LVN will provide safe, cost-effective patient care in an ambulatory setting, assist with data collection, and support care planning under physician or RN supervision. The position is based in Fountain Valley with Mon–Fri clinic hours.

Qualifications

One-year experience in an outpatient setting or physician's office.
Experience giving injections and drawing blood.
Graduate from an accredited school or program of vocational nursing.
Current California LVN licensure.
BLS required.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, cost-effective patient care using the nursing process within LVN scope.
Assist in ambulatory care by collecting data and supporting the patient plan of care.

Shift:Days (8hr shift) Clinic Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm

Pay Range: $32.19/hr - $46.68/hr

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 subject to taxes

Position Summary

To provide safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of the Licensed Vocational Nurse.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for caring for patients in the ambulatory setting by assisting in the collection of subjective and objective data, recognize problems or abnormal conditions specific to the patient and perform a psychosocial assessment using active listening, verbal communication, and non-verbal communication. The LVN will contribute to the development of the patient plan of care and will implement, under the direction of a physician, AHP, or RN, only those parts of the plan of care that are within the LVN scope of practice. The LVN will incorporate the five (5) Simply Better steps with every patient and team member interaction.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years 20 experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
