Job summary

Harris Health in Houston is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide patient care in ambulatory clinics under supervision, using the nursing process to meet physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs. You will coordinate care with the healthcare team, document care, and support education for patients and families.

Weekend, holiday, flexible, overtime, and on-call shifts are required. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Texas LVN license and BLS is required;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas LVN licensure.
• Basic Life Support from an AHA-approved program.
• Experience in the area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in ambulatory clinics under direct supervision.
• Use the nursing process to meet physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs.
• Coordinate care between the healthcare team to optimize the patient’s understanding of their condition and care requirements.
