Job summary

TEEMA is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a temp-to-hire opportunity in McLean, VA. The LVN will provide high-quality clinical support and patient care while collaborating with providers and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories, vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining EMR documentation. The role requires current LVN licensure, BLS, and strong patient care and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current LVN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care within the LVN scope of practice.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the provider.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care.
• Perform patient intake, screenings, and follow-up activities.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and care instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with care coordination, referrals, laboratory testing, and other clinical needs.
• Follow all infection control, safety, HIPAA, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with providers, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
