Job summary

PM Pediatrics in Dallas, TX is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support pediatric urgent care with clinical and administrative duties. You will obtain histories, measure vitals, perform procedures, and assist physicians in delivering high-quality patient care.

The role requires pediatric experience, an active nursing license, and strong teamwork. BLS is required, with PALS recommended; you will maintain exam rooms and assist in emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience is required; Pediatric ER, Pediatric hospital unit, or Pediatrics Urgent Care Experience preferred.
• Active state nursing license or active compact state licensure from the state you reside.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended.
• Knowledge of medical practice and terminology, clinic processes, and procedures.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments; ability to respond to emergencies calmly.

Responsibilities

• Provider clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, intake, and prioritize patient care.
• Perform procedures (venipuncture, IV insertion, urinary straight catheterization), administer medications, and assist the physician with patient care.
• Remain knowledgeable in pediatric pharmacology and assist with patient care within scope of practice.
• Maintain exam rooms stocked with supplies, instruments, and sterilization tools; ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist physician with patient care, including positioning and comfort during procedures and emergencies.
