Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of San Antonio is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse on the unit. You will collect data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures in an age-appropriate manner according to hospital policies.

A current LVN/LPN license in Texas and BLS certification are required; inpatient med-surgical experience is preferred. Prior emergency or critical care exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of inpatient med-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Prior emergency or critical care experience preferred (not required).
• Comfort with vents/trachs/PICC lines preferred.

Responsibilities

• The LVN/LPN provides nursing care under the direction of an RN on the unit.
• Gathers and reports data, carries out orders, and performs therapeutic procedures as directed.
• Deliver care in an age-appropriate manner consistent with PAM Health policies.
