Job summary
AccentCare is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) for our Houston South Office. This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with on-call duties. You will provide direct patient care under an RN, serving pediatric to geriatric patients on a per-visit basis.
Compensation is estimates for annual pay. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, holds an active LPN license in Texas, has at least 1 year of LVN/LPN experience, CPR
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Currently Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of operation.
- One year LVN/LPN experience preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license to travel to locations.
Responsibilities
- Performs nursing functions and direct patient care under RN supervision.
- Promotes and maintains optimal client care under RN supervision.
- Maintains a safe patient environment.
- Communicates significant changes to the case manager and team.
- Administers prescribed medications as allowed by law and assesses drug therapies.
- Documents progress notes and ensures timely charting as per policy.
- Coordinates services for the client with the home health team.
