Reunion Plaza Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Texarkana, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our dedicated team. The shift from 6am to 6pm offers a rewarding role delivering skilled nursing care in a long-term and rehabilitative setting.

You will supervise and participate in patient care under facility policies and physician orders, ensuring compassionate, high-quality service and adherence to the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LVN/LPN licensure required.
• Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains nursing service objectives aligned with licensure and Nurse Practice Act.
• Evaluates staffing needs with the Director of Nursing.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Receives, transcribes, and implements physician orders.
• Implements and evaluates care plans.
• Directs and oversees subordinate staff.
• Participates in duty assignments and coordinates tasks.
• Monitors infection control compliance and documents incidents.

LVN Responsibilities:

• Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Evaluates staffing pattern needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
• Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.
• Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders.
• Implements and evaluates care plans.
• Identifies/secures equipment supplies
• Directs/oversees subordinates.
• Participates in duty assignments.
• Organizes/coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
• Oversees/monitors function and activities of subordinate staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and institutes appropriate action discipline/training.
• Monitor’s infection control compliance.
• Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

LVN/LPN Requirements:

• Current, valid licensure as a LVN/LPN required
