Job Summary

Provides care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses for clinic patients, following established standards and practices. Performs various lab procedures as necessary and within competency.

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Perform basic patient care duties including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, collecting specimens (including phlebotomy at specific sites), assisting providers in examinations and procedures, and managing patient flow.
• Answer phones, record messages, and assist with patient-related calls.
• Schedule tests, manage results, and handle pre-certification.
• Document patient information accurately.
• Assist with medication refills and administer medications/immunizations as ordered.
• Clean and restock exam rooms, maintain equipment, and order supplies.
• Perform clerical duties such as locating patient charts and completing routine forms.
• Attend meetings and training sessions, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• LVN License in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
