A leading healthcare provider in Texas is seeking a dedicated LVN to provide essential patient care under physician supervision. The role includes obtaining vital signs, assisting with examinations, and performing clerical duties. Full-time position with a focus on quality patient care and teamwork.
Description Summary : Provides care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses for clinic patients, according to established standards and practices. Performs various lab procedures when necessary and in accordance with competency.
Responsibilities : Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Under the direction of the physician, performs basic patient care duties including, but not limited to, obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens (including phlebotomy specific to the site). Assists providers in examination and treatment of patients and with procedures. Helps manage patient flow through the clinic. Answers phones, records phone messages, and assists providers with patient-related calls. Assists in scheduling test appointments, results, and pre-certification. Documents any information related to the patient. Assists providers with medication refills. Administers medications and immunizations according to provider orders. Cleans and restocks exam rooms. Cleans equipment in accordance with policy. Orders stock supplies from the supply department (specific to site), maintains sterile technique, and utilizes universal protocols. Performs routine clerical duties, including locating patient charts, filing, and completing routine forms. Attends and completes required meetings and in-service training, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements : LVN license in the state of employment or a compact license. BLS certification.
