LVN, 2pm-10pm

As an LVN, you will provide nursing care to patients according to established standards and practices, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Collect and analyze health-related information.
2. Implement service plans formulated by the Director of Health Services.
3. Use safe and appropriate nursing techniques in patient care.
4. Report changes in patient status, including hospitalizations, discharges, and physician appointments.
5. Document care accurately and timely, aligned with the service plan.
6. Communicate with other healthcare disciplines regularly, including weekends.
7. Administer medication as per physician orders, monitor for adverse reactions, and notify physicians accordingly.
8. Assist patients in learning self-care activities.
9. Organize and monitor resources to meet patient needs.
10. Participate in staff development activities.

Requirements:

1. Graduate from an accredited LPN or LVN program and hold a current Texas license.
2. At least one year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
3. Experience in geriatric nursing, emergency care, or first aid preferred.
4. Obtain and maintain valid Continuing Education credits as required by the State.
5. Training in caring for cognitively impaired residents (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Validation Therapy) is desirable.
6. Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress.
7. Effective collaboration skills with physicians, management, staff, and outside contacts.
8. Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
9. Leadership qualities and willingness to supervise staff.
