LVN, 10pm-6am

As an LVN, you will provide nursing care to patients according to established standards and practices, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collecting and analyzing health-related information
• Implementing service plans formulated by the Director of Health Services
• Using safe nursing techniques in patient care
• Reporting changes in patient status to supervisors
• Documenting care accurately and timely
• Communicating with other care disciplines, including weekends
• Administering medication as per physician orders and monitoring reactions
• Assisting patients with self-care activities
• Organizing resources to meet patient needs
• Participating in staff development activities

Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited LPN or LVN program and licensed in Texas
• At least one year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience in geriatric nursing, emergency care, or first-aid preferred
• Valid Continuing Education credits as required by the State
• Training in caring for cognitively impaired residents (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Validation Therapy) preferred
• Ability to handle mental and emotional stress
• Effective collaboration with physicians, management, staff, and outside contacts
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Leadership skills and willingness to supervise staff
