Job summary

Scripps Coastal Medical Center in Vista, CA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full-time, benefits-eligible position at the Vista campus. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, educate patients and families, and document interactions, within your scope of practice.

Preferred candidates have outpatient experience and strong English communication; a current CA LVN license and AHA BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families and document patient interactions.
• Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.
