Job summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse II at JPS Health Network's Polytechnic Health Center provides comprehensive nursing care under provider orders and nurse supervision. You will focus on patient assessment, documentation, and education in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include infection control, vitals monitoring, lab testing, and staff preceptorship. Four 10-hour day shifts in Fort Worth, TX; must hold Texas LVN license with current BLS, ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing.
• CurrentTexas LVN license in good standing.
• Current JPS recognized BLS certification.
• ACLS within 3 months of hire (ED/CC only).
• EKG within 90 days of hire (ED/CC only).
• PALS within 90 days of hire (Emergency Department).
• NRP within 6 weeks of employment (Inpatient Women’s Services).
• Orientation program within 90 days if applicable.
• Non-violent crisis de-escalation training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care under provider orders and supervision of the nurse in charge.
• Records medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors symptoms and changes in patient condition.
• Conduits specified laboratory tests.
• Maintains accurate reports and records.
• Completes documentation per standards and policies.
• Provides patient education on identified knowledge deficits.
• Precepts LVNs and non-licensed staff as directed.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
