University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital serving North Texas. We seek a licensed LVN to provide nursing care, administer medications, and support treatment plans under RN supervision.
The role is full-time nights (7p-7:30a) with rotating weekends; requires graduation from an accredited LVN program, Texas licensure, and CPR certification. Psychiatric experience is preferred for excellent patient care.

Position Summary: The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Chief Nursing Officer in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders, administering medications, and other duties in the LVN scope of practice.

Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational/practical nursing program.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications, and CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) including restraint and seclusion policies within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
