Job summary

Dallas Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare Services, is seeking a licensed Vocational Nurse/LPN to join the emergency department on a per diem basis. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, helping maintain safety, comfort and a positive patient experience during night shifts.

Requirements include a current state license, BLS at hire, IV certification; ACLS and PALS are preferred within 120 days.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state LVN/LPN license.
• BLS certificate at hire and maintained.
• IV certification upon hire.
• ACLS within 120 days preferred or within 120 days of hire.
• PALS preferred within 120 days or within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the ED under RN supervision.
• Work to maintain safety, comfort, and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the emergency care setting.

Qualifications

1. Current and valid state license.

2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. IV certification upon hire (state specific).

4. Current ACLS certificate preferred or within 120 days of hire.

5. Current PALS certificate preferred or within 120 days of hire.
