Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a LVL II AUT Technician local to the Baton Rouge area for a full-time permanent position. Must have a valid TWIC Card and driver’s license.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, conducting Phased Array NDT tests, and interpreting results while supervising Level I personnel when qualified. The role requires familiarity with relevant codes and standards and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Certified Level II PAUT per ASNT-TC1A standards on PAUT (Phased Array) or QUPA preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid TWIC card and driver’s license.

Mistras group has an immediate need for a LVL II AUT Technician local to the greater Baton Rouge, LA area for a full‑time permanent position. Must have a valid TWIC Card.

Major Responsibilities / Activities
  • Set up and calibrate equipment.
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique: Phased Array.
  • Interpret, evaluate and document results.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method, be certified, and be capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel.
  • Be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and analyze information skillfully.
  • Edit and present numerical data effectively.
Minimum Requirements
  • Certified as a Level II PAUT in accordance with ASNT‑TC1A standards on all or one (1) of the following is required: Phased Array, QUPA preferred.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Valid TWIC card.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Essential Physical Functions
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 pounds.
