Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an LVAD Coordinator RN at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. You will coordinate patient care for LVAD patients, including evaluations, admissions, and discharges, using the nursing process to assess conditions, create care plans, evaluate responses, and track outcomes.

Full-time days with the flexibility to work an 8, 9, or 10-hour shift and rotating on-call.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree.
• RN License.
• Minimum 2 years in relevant field (heart failure or critical care).
• BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient and family needs before care plans.
• Evaluate nursing practices and advocate for evidence-based changes.
• Manage patient discomfort and promote healing while protecting dignity.
• Educate patients, families, and the community to improve care.
• Collaborate to create and follow care plans and promote teamwork.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and efficient resource use.
