Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Specialty Nurse – LVAD Coordinator to oversee the coordination of care for patients with left ventricular assist devices (LVADs). The role includes direct patient care with physicians, LVAD education for patients and families, and supporting clinical staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, an active Maryland RN license, BLS CPR, and at least 2 years of acute care (cardiac/ICU preferred). We offer competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• 2 years of acute care RN experience required; cardiac experience and/or ICU experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for LVAD patients during clinic visits.
• Educate patients and families on LVAD management.
• Manage LVAD-related MyChart inbox and assist with LVAD policies.
• Serve as a clinical resource to promote safe, effective, and coordinated patient care.
