Job summary

Crown Technical Systems in Dallas, TX, is seeking an LV Switchgear Wiring Technician to prep wiring subassemblies for relay and control panels. The role reports to the Production Manager and runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with responsibilities including reading diagrams, wiring, labeling, and maintaining quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years wiring experience or completed vocational training, with strong attention to detail and safety

Qualifications

• Experience wiring or installing electrical components (1–2 years) or completed vocational program.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, prints, and procedures.
• Good basic math and attention to technical specifications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, wiring diagrams and prints for subassemblies.
• Crimp, strip, cut, pull, and bundle wiring per plans.
• Label and mark wires accurately and route cables neatly.
• Connect wires to components and maintain orderly wiring layouts.
• Ensure quality workmanship and maintain a safe clean workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a LV Switchgear Wiring Technician located in Dallas, Texas.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the LV Switchgear Wiring Technician role is responsible for prepping wiring subassemblies for our switchgear projects.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What a typical day looks like:

• Read and interpret work orders, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and prints to manufacture wiring subassemblies for relay and control panels
• Crimp, strip, cut, pull, and bundle wiring according to plans
• Ensure wiring is properly labeled and marked
• Connect cut wires to components, and routing the wire and cables in an orderly fashion
• Ensure quality workmanship of all wires and components
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
• Complete other duties as assigned

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in wiring or installing electrical components OR completion of a technical vocational program
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately
• Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management
• Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
• Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measure, impact drill, wire crimpers, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
• Must have excellent hand‑eye coordination.
• Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
• Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
