Job summary

The Ski Tuner role at Montage Deer Valley involves assisting with ski maintenance and keeping the rental fleet in prime condition. You will help maintain shop flow, perform waxing, base repair, and tune machine setup, while delivering a professional back-of-house atmosphere.

Ideal candidates have experience in ski tuning, strong guest interaction skills, and a reliable work ethic, with availability for weekends, nights, and holidays in a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a luxury hotel preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in ski tuning.
• Experience with Crystal One and Wintersteiger preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Must be willing to work weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• The Ski Tuner is responsible for assisting with ski maintenance & upkeep of ski rental fleet while creating a professional back of house atmosphere.
• Ensure strong ski shop knowledge of waxing, base repair, tune machine set up and maintenance.
• Maintain rental shop set up and flow of equipment.
• Ensure weekly, monthly, and annual testing of binding in rental fleet.
• Drive ski tuning revenue; and ensure rental fleet is in best condition, properly waxed and maintained at all times.
• Must become familiar with all services and standards within the hotel.
