Job summary

The Tradition Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager for Houston—Buffalo Speedway and Woodway communities. You will oversee dining service, staff scheduling, and ensure high resident satisfaction with a steady flow of service and attentive team leadership.

Responsibilities include training, supervising, inventory control, budgeting, and maintaining service quality and cleanliness while fostering a resident-focused dining experience across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• At least one year of management and supervisory experience in a restaurant setting or equivalent experience and education.
• Knowledge of restaurant style service related to meal service and timing.
• Sense of urgency in resident and guest service.
• Ability to create a harmonious, team-oriented working environment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Highly organized in day-to-day operations in the food service department.
• Effective communication and people skills.
• High sanitation and safety skills.
• Personable and people oriented.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise and motivate team members.
• Labor management – ensure staff follow scheduled hours.
• Purchasing within company guidelines and inventory control.
• Revenue tracking for accurate meal receipts.
• Budget compliance for dining operations.
• Maintain quality and timeliness of meal service.
• Ensure dining room and service area cleanliness.
• Meal presentation and timely preparation.
• Manage guest relations and resident interactions.
• Maintain residents' and guests' meal records.
