Job summary

Sofitel New York is seeking a Rooms Manager‑In‑Training (MIT) to develop a strong Foundation in luxury hotel operations. You will rotate through Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services, gaining hands-on experience and learning systems and service standards.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business, or related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn new hotel systems quickly (Opera Cloud, Opera, Alice, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services to understand Rooms operations.
• Learn day-to-day processes supporting guest arrivals, departures, and requests.
• Assist with VIP recognition, loyalty programs, and guest satisfaction efforts.
• Document processes and assist in creating/update SOPs and training materials.
• Support operational projects to improve efficiency, quality, and guest experience.
